Green mining equipment, technology and services (METS) has been the forum’s central topic and HPY Technology has their own clean solutions to maximize limited metal resources with cost-effective ore sorting.

On January 9-11, 2024, HPY Technology’s Vice President Shuhao Zhou and Marketing Director of Central Asia Fuzhong Huang attended the third edition of the Future Minerals Forum, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia -- an event supported by the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIM) and under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The forum is organized to be a super-region platform for different mining industrial leaders, investors, policymakers to develop the mineral resources in Saudi and across the world, steering a clear roadmap towards the sector’s urgent energy transition goals, emphasizing the theme of “turning talk into action”.

Saudi Vision 2030 outlines ambitious plans to become a major player in the global mining sector, investing a $182 million mineral exploration program. Rich reserves of phosphate, gold, copper and bauxite, are field of minerals Saudi currently possess, and are also HPY’s area of expertise areas.

Over 200 world-leaders from across the mining and mineral sectors attended FMF 2024, including Chairmen and CEOs of Glencore, Codelco, Vale and Rio Tinto. The third edition of FMF will also witness the return of several speakers such as Robert Friedland, Founder and Executive Co-Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines, a Canadian mining company focused on investments in South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo; Mark Bristow, CEO of Barrick Gold, a sector-leading gold and copper producer; Andrew Southam, CEO of KAZ Minerals, one of the largest copper producers in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan; and Joc O'Rourke, President and CEO of The Mosaic Company, a Fortune 500 company based in Tampa, Florida which mines phosphate, potash, and collects urea for fertilizer.

The Minster of MIM Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef said: “The third edition of FMF underscores the mining and minerals sector as a pivotal pillar in Vision 2030, playing a crucial role in the global shift towards clean energy.”
